Another day, another Squarespace update!
Yes, Squarespace has been making a lot of changes lately, and it can be hard to keep up with all of them. *begins sweating*
Don’t worry, we got you!
The latest change is that they have rearranged the dashboard when you log in, which can be a bit confusing at first. Our first thought was, where the hell have site styles gone?
Where have site styles moved to in Squarespace?
Okay, so site styles now don’t have their own section on the left-hand panel anymore; all you need to do is click ‘edit’ and then, in the top right-hand corner, click the brush icon, and this will bring up your site styles.
Here, you can access all of the site style edits, like fonts, colours, animations, spacing, buttons and image blocks!
P.S. If you need any help with choosing your Squarespace website colours or need some inspiration on Squarespace font pairings, you can head over to our blog to use our favourite curated colour palettes and font pairings - for free!
Changes in the new Squarespace Navigation
Other notable changes in the new Squarespace navigation
‘Pages’ is no longer called ‘Pages’; it’s now called ‘Website’, and in this section are all the pages of the website, as well as a section down the bottom called System pages, where all the, well, system pages, such as 404 Page, Access Denied, Checkout and Lock Screen pages are.
Custom CSS has also moved
Custom CSS and Code Injection pages have also moved and are now housed under the Website Tools section, which sits underneath at the bottom of the new ‘Website’ section.
Still lost?
If you still can’t find something, simply press / (the forward slash key) on your keyboard in Squarespace, and that will let you search for a function within your Squarespace site. For example, you can press / and then search ‘site styles’ or ‘custom CSS’, and it will present you with a list of options to help you get around your site easily.
